Reading host Birmingham City in the Championship tomorrow, as Mark Bowen's side look to continue their ascent up the table.

Bowen has been in charge for almost two months at Reading now and in the seven games he's overseen, the club has taken 13 points from a possible 21 and have dragged themselves out of the relegation zone.

They sit 18th in the Championship for the visit of 15th-placed Birmingham City tomorrow, who've this week handed Pep Clotet the role of first-team manager.

Clotet's side are looking for their first win in five but a win for Reading would close the gap between the two to one.

Reading will be boosted by the returns of both Sam Baldock and Ovie Ejaria tomorrow.

Baldock was one of the many to have been exiled by previous manager Jose Gomes but has since returned to the fray under Bowen, and in five appearances under the former sporting director has two goals.

He's missed the last two, but is ready to make a return tomorrow.

Ejaria has been Reading's most exciting player this season. Whenever he get's the ball the Madejski faithful take to their feet - he's that kind of player and his return to the first-team tomorrow will be a huge boost for Bowen.

He missed the last outing at Wigan through illness but is set to start tomorrow's game.

It'll be a hard-fought encounter in Berkshire against a Birmingham side who've proved notoriously hard to beat this season. Bowen will need his boys at their best tomorrow if their to secure his fifth win as Reading manager.
