Lee Bowyer’s side will be boosted by the return of attacking duo Chuks Aneke and Lyle Taylor for this weekend’s trip to the Riverside to take on lowly Middlesbrough, with the Charlton boss confirming the strikers will be involved in some capacity.
The Addicks will however be without a host of key players for the game against Boro on Saturday, with the treatment room at the club’s training ground sure to be bursting at the seams.
Bowyer currently has a long list of players who are currently out of action, with Tomer Hemed, Lewis Page, George Lapslie, Beram Kayal, Josh Cullen and Jonny Williams among those to be on the sidelines for significant periods of time.

There is however some more positive news on the availability of Williams, with Bowyer confirming that the diminutive playmaker could soon be back in action after he started running again in training, opening up the prospect of the former Crystal Palace man making a return to first team fold in the not too distant future.
Aside from the attacking midfielder, Bowyer also expects on loan West Brom man, Sam Field to make a long awaited return in the coming weeks, with the midfielder having been out of action since the back end of October with a serious knee injury that he sustained against Bristol City.
Overall, Charlton continue to soldier on despite their continued injury crisis, as the Addicks seek to pick up their first win in eight games this weekend, with the south Londoners looking to gander some much needed points.
