Bristol Rovers take on the side directly above them this Saturday in League One, as Peterborough make the trip to the Memorial Stadium.

Just the single point separates the two sides, with the Gas having a game in hand on their upcoming opponents. Rovers have also lost just one home game all season.

The Gas will know they can move into the automatic promotion places if they win on Saturday and Ipswich Town lose against Portsmouth.

It will no doubt be a difficult situation for the players to deal with at the club at the moment, after the departure of Graham Coughlan to Mansfield earlier this week, with Joe Dunne also in discussions with the Nottinghamshire outfit to join Coughlan's backroom staff at the One Call Stadium.

Kevin Maher will take charge of first-team duties for the Peterborough clash alongside Adrian Tucker and Lee Mansell, and he has provided an injury update ahead of the game.

The 43-year-old said that Jonson Clarke-Harris will be assessed after missing last week's 2-1 win over Ipswich as well as the midweek FA Cup replay win against Plymouth Argyle at Home Park.

QUIZ - Bristol Rovers through the decade: How much can you remember from the 2016/17 season?

It is understood that Clarke-Harris has rejoined first-team training for the Gas, but it is unclear if the striker is match-fit.

Mark Little is also in a similar position, with the right wing-back also among the first-team squad. The 31-year-old has suffered a series of injuries this season for Rovers, limiting him to eight league appearances.

Abu Ogogo missed the Ipswich game through suspension, but did not feature against Plymouth - making it unclear if the 30-year-old midfielder will be available for the Peterborough game.
