Sheffield United sit in a healthy third place in the Sky Bet Championship after smashing four past Aston Villa last weekend.

Blades manager Chris Wilder will be hoping to see his side return to form following the international break, a break which might have just come at the wrong time for his side given they had won four games on the bounce.

However, Wilder will be confident, but he knows he has some big decisions coming up over the coming weeks, especially with the return to fitness of midfielder Paul Coutts.

The Scot was a key man for United in League One and at the beginning of last term, before serious injury curtailed his progress and had an adverse affect on United's chances of cementing a playoff spot.

With Coutts now back though, Wilder has a big decision to make. New signing Oliver Norwood has already cemented himself as a class act in the middle, while John Fleck remains consistent with his performances. Add to this the link between midfield and attack that Mark Duffy provides, and it could be argued there is no place for Coutts.

We saw earlier in the season that a flat midfield three without Duffy failed to work for the Blades, and it's hard to imagine Wilder opting for Coutts, Fleck, and Norwood at the same time.

However, on the flipside to this, it is nice for United to have those options, and over a long season, it could be crucial to have quality to call upon.

Blades fans love Coutts, and rightly so, but there would be few who could select their favoured midfield three if you asked them at the moment. It's certainly exciting, if not a bit difficult in terms of selection, for manager Chris Wilder.
