Millwall gave their chances of avoiding relegation a huge boost when they beat play-off contenders West Brom 2-0 at the weekend, a result that leaves the Lions one point clear of the relegation zone with seven games remaining, a game more than their rivals for the drop.

Lions manager Neil Harris, though embroiled in the high pressure stakes of Championship survival, is looking to the future with 6ft 3in striker Sam Cosgrove of Aberdeen a target, according to the Sun on Sunday (April 7, Page 61).

Cosgrove 22, has scored 16 goals and made two assists in 30 league appearances this season for the Dons, but would he prove a good signing for Millwall?

We discuss........

Sam Rourke

"The ideal Morison replacement.

"Cosgrove has enjoyed a superb season for Aberdeen and had been a real presence up-front for the SPFL side.

"He clearly has the attributes to excel in the Championship, and I could see this deal really working out for all parties.

George Dagless

"Absolutely.

"Cosgrove has had an excellent season and looks ready to play some Championship football.

"Millwall would really benefit from signing him."

Gary Hutchinson

“Interesting signing.

“I can’t say I’ve seen much of Cosgrove, but I’ve heard good things.

“Much depends on where Millwall are next season really.

“He’d be a top League One player.”
