Leeds United moved to the top of the Championship table at the weekend as they ran out convincing 4-0 winners over Middlesbrough at Elland Road.

Goals from Helder Costa, Patrick Bamford and a brace from Mateusz Klich proved to be enough for Marcelo Bielsa's side as they moved ahead of West Brom in the table, with the Baggies not in action until Monday evening.

It was an unhappy return to Leeds for Middlesbrough midfielder for Jonny Howson, and the 31-year-old issued his thoughts on the defeat for Boro in an interview with the Yorkshire Evening Post.

"It's very tough whenever you lose a game of football heavily.

"It was always going to be difficult and they have a lot of confidence, but coming to a place like this against a team that is doing well you want to hold them out as long as you can and frustrate them, and that obviously wasn't the case."

Plenty of the Elland Road faithful took to Facebook to react to Howson's latest comments.

See the best of the reaction below....

Paul Catterwell: "The grass wasn't greener, was it Jonny lad."

Matthew Stephens: "He shouldn't of jumped ship!"

Stuart Davies: "Good player , just in a struggling side at the moment. He may get a move in January, the season does not take shape until March, very early days!"

Tony Chapman: "It's what you get when you choose money before a great football club like Leeds United."

Mark Bateson: "Shame he took Boro's pounds instead of coming home when he had the chance."

Simon Haddon: "He aged three years during that game yesterday."

Andrew Rollinson: "He'll have even less 'go' in him next year in League One."

Paul Alston: "The lads a life long Leeds fan, regardless of who pays his wage. Not sure he had a lot of choice to be honest under the Bates regime. Pity, Good player and gave his all in the mighty whites shirt. MOT!"
