It's been a cracking season for Newcastle United in the Championship and Rafa Benitez has a big job on his hands, to lead their Premier League charge next time out.

The Magpies finished the season as second-tier Champions and consequently secured promotion back to the Premier League at the first attempt.

But it's not going to be easy for the Magpies as they look to secure their top-flight status at the first time of asking.

There's certainly going to have to be additions made over the summer months to ensure the club do remain in the Premier League, and there's one man here at the FLW we've been seriously impressed with during this season's Championship campaign.

The man in question? Fulham's £3 million-rated playmaker Stefan Johansen, who has been in superb form for the Cottagers in recent months.

The Norwegian international hasn't quite grabbed the headlines like Chris Wood or Tammy Abraham have this campaign, but 11 goals and eight assists have more than proved that he's up to the job at playing at this high level.

Formerly of Celtic, 26-year-old Johansen moved on to get more first-team football and it's a decision that the Bhoys may look to regret.

His movement, set-piece ability and goals have proved him to be one of the brightest sparks in the division this season, and you get the feeling he could really step up another level in the coming years.

Newcastle are going to need as much quality as possible as they look to maintain their Premier League status next season, and Johansen could be a player to come in and really give them that something different in the top flight.

Newcastle fans - Have you seen a lot of Johansen this season? What have you made of him? Leave your thoughts in the comments below!
