There are exciting times on the horizon down at Birmingham City and with Harry Redknapp now at the helm, there's optimism buzzing around St Andrews that we haven't seen in years.

The former QPR boss guided the Blues to last-ditch safety towards the end of last season, helping his then-interim side to wins over Huddersfield and Bristol City to secure their survival.

And his positive impact was rewarded with a one-year deal by club bosses at the end of the campaign and he'll now be the man to lead them into battle when the new season rolls around in August.

But before then, there's plenty of work to do at the helm, bringing together a team that is capable of beating last season's meek attempt in the league.

And there's one man we at the FLW think would be a cracking addition to Blues for the second time ins career and that's former Manchester United play-maker Ravel Morrison, who had arguably one of the brightest spells of his plagued career at St Andrews.

The talented youngster has found trouble along the way throughout his entire playing career and it's clear that he's a young man with huge talent but a real attitude problem.

But he's worked with Harry Redknapp in the past having played under him during his time at QPR and he will know just how much quality he has in his locker when he really applies himself.

He scored 6 goals in 17 appearances during his time at Loftus Road- marking some of his best goalscoring figures in his career but he really does need to find his feet somewhere and stay on the right tracks.

There will be the argument from some Blues fans that they only want positive players coming through the St Andrews doors from here on in which is understandable but the fact of the matter is Morrison has some real talent in his locker- he just has to harness it and use it positively.

This could be a risk but certainly a move worth thinking about going forward.

Blues fans- would you bring Morrison back? Leave your thoughts down below!
