It's been a rollercoaster couple of months for Bolton Wanderers and their supporters, who have an exciting campaign in the Championship on the horizon.

Under the leadership of Phil Parkinson, Wanderers have been in fine form and more than deserved their automatic promotion back to the second tier.

But moving forward, it's going to be a considerably tougher season next time out and there's one man in this squad that we think might hold the key to any potential success. We'd go as far as to say he might even be the man that could lead a potential push for the Premier League too.

The man in question? £250,000-rated Filipe Morais, who had a superb season last time out.

The former Chelsea youngster might not have hit the required form at this level in the past but last season he was superb for Wanderers, scoring three and assisting 15 times.

But he's the sort of player that might be in demand this summer due to his cheap price tag and the fact he might be available on a free transfer this summer. His contract is due to expire in the next few weeks, though there's every hope on the Macron paddocks that he'll be offered a new deal in order to keep any potential suitors at bay.

Things are going to get hectic in the North West over the coming weeks and there's going to be plenty of incomings and outgoings. But Morais is a man with serious skill, pace and an eye for goal that could see Bolton do well in the second-tier next season.

But he's a player they must keep and ultimately, offer a new contract to as soon as possible.
