Sheffield United striker Leon Clarke enjoyed a wonderful spell of form during the month of November, and has been duly nominated for the Player of the Month award.

A remarkable nine goals in only four games should be enough to see the 32-year-old to the title, with Clarke astounding the division with his prowess over the course of the past month.

A four goal haul against Hull City was backed up by goals at Burton Albion and at home to Birmingham, which sandwiched a fantastically taken hat-trick in the pulsating 5-4 defeat to Fulham at Bramall Lane.

Clarke’s form has been sensational so far, with the player attracting interest from other clubs in the division following his electric start.

The former Wolves forward leads the division in goals, and his form is proving to be the fire behind the Blades’ shock promotion challenge.

Fans took to Twitter to have their say on the nomination, and it is clear who they feel deserves the award this month…
