Blackpool are looking to receive an offer of £1m for their star defender Curtis Tilt, with both Championship side Ipswich Town and Scottish Premier League side Rangers interested.

According to a tweet by sports journalist Alan Nixon, the Tangerines will only listen to offers over £1m for the 26-year-old.

The tweet stated: “BLACKPOOL. Want 1m for Tilt. Ipswich not at that figure. Neither are Rangers. Yet.”

Tilt made 45 appearances in all competitions for the League One side last season, in a campaign that saw them finish 12th.

Both Rangers and Ipswich have been linked with a move for the defender throughout the summer transfer window, but will need to revaluate their offers after the recent news.

The Tractor Boys are believed to have had two previous bids for Tilt rejected, with the latter around £600,000.

The Verdict

The signing of Curtis Tilt would be a terrific one for either Ipswich or Rangers, but it looks like they will have to folk out almost double what they had originally offered to secure their man.

Despite having played just one season in the English Football League in his career to date, the outstanding individual performances from Tilt have got him widespread recognition.

Paul Hurst and his team will not have to go away and reconsider their offers for the defender.
