Stoke City midfielder Peter Etebo has praised the club's fans on his Twitter page, as Gary Rowett's men secured only their second win of the season on Tuesday night.

The Potters ran out 1-0 winners over Swansea City on Tuesday night thanks to a Joe Allen strike, in what was a comfortable display by Rowett's men.

Stoke had endured a disappointing start to the campaign, winning just one of their previous seven league outings, however they will now look to go on a run to push them up the Championship table.

Nigerian international Etebo has been a standout performer for City following his arrival in the summer from Portuguese outfit Feirense, and the Stoke fans have taken well to the 22-year-old tenacious midfielder.

Here, we take a look at Stoke fans' views on Twitter, on the midfielder's display against the Swans on Tuesday night...

The Verdict

Whilst Stoke fans may not seem happy with the atmosphere flowing around the Bet365 Stadium of late, it's clear to see their appreciation for Etebo, who provides real grit and energy in the Potters midfield - he could be a standout player for Stoke along with Ryan Woods and Benik Afobe this season.
