The German revolution has hit Carrow Road this summer as new boss Daniel Farke begins his revamp of Norwich City’s squad ahead of an exciting 2017/18 Championship campaign for the Canaries.
They have already completed three signings during this transfer window; highly-regarded attacker Marley Watkins from Barnsley, Darmstadt’s Mario Vrancic and defender Christoph Zimmermann of Borussia Dortmund’s reserves.
I think whilst it is vital to bring in additions who have knowledge of other play styles and can offer something different, Norwich need to look closer to home in the coming months as well which is why I think Ainsley Maitland-Niles should be snapped up.
The 19-year-old, who has officially won the FA Cup on two occasions, is full of optimism as Arsenal think of him as a future prospect in the first-team, however, for that to happen he needs regular game time.
Maitland-Niles has somewhat adapted to life in professional English football after flourishing during a loan stint at Norwich City’s bitter rivals Ipswich Town when he featured in thirty games for the Tractor Boys.
Also, in my opinion, Farke could add some excitement to his attacking options. The centre midfielder offers the same sort of pace that can be satisfactory compared to the Murphy twins – as well as bring versatility to the set-up.
Ainsley Maitland-Niles has the ability to play across the park; Arsenal’s second team played the young talent in midfield, winger and in the full-back positions which shows he can adapt particularly swiftly to new areas of the pitch.
