The FA have now confirmed that Berardi has received a five-match suspension, which rules the Swiss defender out until the end of the season, with Heckingbottom without his stand-in captain for the Championship run-in.

Saturday’s red-card was Berardi’s third of the season, which has resulted in an extended ban.
