It’s an exciting time to be a Bristol City fan at the moment with a good squad, young manager and Ashton Gate has been extended, meaning it’ll be buzzing next season with a large expectant fan base.
At the start of last season they seemed in trouble under Steve Cotterill struggling to pick up points and at one point resided in the relegation zone.
But Barnsley manager Lee Johnson came in and led them to a comfortable survival.
Their star player was undoubtedly Jonathan Kodjia who bagged 20 goals with the Ivorian one of the most underrated strikers in the Football League.
The one disappointing thing for Bristol City was a lack of goals from midfield with players like Luke Freeman and Marlon Pack struggling to find their feet in front of goal.
The midfield near the end of the season was a diamond with Pack playing in the defensive role, Bryan and Reid in the centre and the impressive Lee Tomlin in attack.
Lee Tomlin bagged six goals since his loan move from Bournemouth as City will be desperate to get him on a permanent deal.
Here is the DREAM midfield for Bristol City under Lee Johnson next season…..
