Huddersfield Town finished the 2015/16 campaign in a disappointing 19th place position in the Sky Bet Championship, although some of the football played under boss David Wagner gave the club’s supporters optimism for the future.

The German boss arrived in West Yorkshire in November and installed a stylish, elegant, free-flowing style of passing football which has rarely been seen in the town of Huddersfield over the years.

The 44-year-old is hoping to bring some success to the Terriers during the 2016/17 campaign and if he can get players in to the club who suit his style then who know what they could achieve next season.

The current crop of Huddersfield Town talent isn’t too bad although a few new additions would bolster then in attack and make them more of a force in front of goal.

AMR – Jamie Paterson

paterson

Whilst the jury remains out for several Nottingham Forest fans on whether or not Jamie Paterson can do a job for their team, there is simply only one answer when it comes to whether or not Huddersfield fans feel the right winger can help their team.

Paterson was signed on a season-long loan by former Terriers boss Chris Powell ahead of last season and the club’s supporters quickly took to the ex-Walsall man, following a string of exciting displays.

The Terries hold a clause in their initial loan contract which allows the club to sign the player permanently, although at this stage it is uncertain whether or not they will activate it.

Boss Wagner spoke highly of Paterson towards the back end of last season and at 24-years-old the youngster still has time firmly on his side.

AML – Sheyi Ojo

ojooo

The Liverpool winger has struggled to break into the first-team fold at Anfield and a loan move to the Championship could be on the cards for the 2016/17 campaign.

At 18-years-old the winger is a bright young talent and he also boasts Championship experience having turned out for Wigan Athletic and Wolverhampton Wanderers previously.

Huddersfield boss David Wagner was the number two to Reds boss Jurgen Klopp at German giants Borussia Dortmund and the fiery manager could help his old pal out with this loan deal.

Ojo is relatively raw and direct out on the left wing although his flair and technical ability would certainly see him shine in a team playing attacking football.

ST – Nahki Wells

wellsssss

The Bermudan striker was in fine form for Huddersfield Town last season smashing 18 goals in all competitions and drawing Premier League interest in the process.

Wells is still only 26-years-old and was a pretty shrewd £1.35 million signing when he joined back in 2014, scoring 32 goals since his arrival.

Wells will undoubtedly have some competition for places next season as boss Wagner looks to bring in new recruits, although the manager is likely to build his attack around the ex-Bradford City man.

Despite the top flight interest Wells’ best chance of playing football and continuing to develop at the moment would be to stay with Huddersfield for the 2016/17 campaign, where he will probably be a certainty to start on a Saturday afternoon.

Huddersfield Town supporters, would you be happy with this front three next season? Who would be in your front three for the 2016/17 campaign? Let us know!!
