Blackburn are a club that seems to be sinking fast, and a big summer is ahead if they want to push away from relegation.

After Paul Lambert ditched the club at the end of last year, their problems deepened, leaving the club readying itself for another change in it's management, which sees Owen Coyle lead the race.

Their front line needs particular attending to after Rudy Gestede jumped ships to Aston Villa last summer and Jordan Rhodes moving to Middlesbrough in January, there is clearly some work needed up front.

They face stiff competition from many clubs to bring in Sunderland loanee Danny Graham, who scored seven goals for them in half a season, so they may be left with Simeon Jackson and Chris Brown up front.

It's obvious that the squad needs reformation up top, so here are three players that would make the ideal front line for Blackburn next season:

Ben Marshall - LW

With Jordan Rhodes and Rudy Gestede out of the picture, it's now Ben Marshall's turn to step into the limelight and become Blackburn's star man after a couple of years of hot and cold form.

The former Manchester United man can play on either flank, and putting him on the left will allow him to cut in on the inside and have a shot at goal.

Marshall continues to show potential to be a top Championship winger, but he needs a manager who's able to get him performing on a consistent basis in order for him to be a star for Rovers.

Victor Anichebe - ST

The former Everton man is an absolute powerhouse, and was pretty good in flashes when he appeared for West Brom last season, and looks set to be released by Tony Pulis after a distinct lack of outings for Albion last year.

There's no reason why the Nigerian international can't make it in the Championship, he has all the physical attributes to cope in the second tier, and to snap him up for free would be a real coup.

Rovers need goals and it's definitely worth taking the risk on Anichebe.

Peter Odemwingie - RW

The charismatic forward had an impressive little loan spell at Bristol City, scoring in their annihilation of Bolton Wanderers towards the end of last year.

After moving to Bristol due to his lack of game time, it would seem fairly realistic that he's going to be released by Stoke City over this summer, and can play in multiple positions across the front line.

Whipping him up on a free transfer would be another smart move from Blackburn, who are running low on cash at the moment.
