Nottingham Forest are looking to go big this summer in the transfer window as they aim to challenge at the sharp end in 2018/19.

The Reds have an ambitious manager in Aitor Karanka and ambitious owners too whilst the fans still crave the success that they enjoyed over 30 years ago.

That is a long-term dream, of course, but with the right signings getting back into the top flight isn't such a far-off goal and when you look at the potential loan signing of Diogo Goncalves it seems more than possible.

In our latest Domino Effect Deals, though, we're exploring what it might mean for Ben Brereton:

Forest started to struggle for goals towards the end of last season as the balance in their side moved to a more defensive outlook.

The likes of Ben Brereton, then, had questions asked about him but, whilst Apostolos Vellios and Daryl Murphy might now be deemed not good enough and moved on, Brereton is still one Forest should keep.

He's still very young and has already shown that he can get goals for the club - blips like last season are going to happen for players his age.

Certainly, there's no need to give up on him yet and so, maybe, with Goncalves potentially coming in, a loan exit for Brereton is the right course of action this summer.

Let's see what happens.
