Derby County are back in the play-offs after an impressive win over Cardiff City at Pride Park on Tuesday night.

Derby were trailing 1-0 with just over 20 minutes to go but Cameron Jerome struck a brace and substitute Matej Vydra came off the bench to add another as the Rams triumphed 3-1 over Neil Warnock's side.

This saw them leapfrog Millwall and move into the top six ahead of the final two games of the season.

Derby manager Gary Rowett has recently changed his formation and plays with three at the back now.

This allows him to utilise wing backs and then he has a fluid three up front so that it is a hybrid of the 3-4-1-2 and 3-4-3 formations.

This weekend's game will be very tough as the Rams prepare to face Aston Villa at Villa Park.

Here is the team that Gary Rowett should deploy to give Derby the best chance of getting a result.

It is an easy choice for Rowett between the sticks.

Former England international Carson will continue as Derby's number one stopper.

Since coming back into the side, Keogh has been impressive at the back.

The Republic of Ireland international will need to be on top form to keep Aston Villa's talented attackers at bay.

When Derby heads go down, Davies is the man to encourage the troops and get them going again.

The experienced centre half is invaluable in this team, providing solidity at the back as well as leadership, a great attitude and honesty.

Forsyth gets the nod ahead of Alex Pearce once again.

The Scotland international has been transformed from a left back into a left centre half recently.

Derby signed Wisdom from Liverpool in the summer and he has been brilliant for the Rams.

The 24-year-old is thriving in this Derby side and has adapted well to a more attacking role.

Former Spurs man Huddlestone has been impressive for Derby this season.

The 31-year-old is a good passer of the ball and he can do both the defensive and the attacking work from central midfield.

Johnson is a regular in Rowett's midfield and he is expected to continue ahead of Joe Ledley.

The 30-year-old provides experience in the midfield ranks.

Olsson is expected to continue in his left wing back role.

The Swede likes to get forward but he will have to be wary of Villa's attacking threat and get back to help out in defence.

Attacking midfielder Lawrence has had an up and down season but he played very well in midweek.

The young Welshman can cause menace going forward and he is working hard for the team at the moment.

It would be a tough call to drop Andi Weimann against his former club after the Austrian performed so well against Cardiff.

But in Vydra, Derby have the Championship's top scorer and he cannot be ignored for such a vital game.

Jerome was the hero against Cardiff and he should keep his place.

The physical centre forward is experienced at Championship level and could cause problems for the Villa defence.
