There are seriously exciting times ahead for newly-promoted Championship outfit Millwall, who returned to the second-tier following their play-off win at Wembley last month.
The Lions are back in the Championship after a considerable spell away and they’re to set to shake up proceedings once again, as they look to consolidate their place in the division for seasons to come.
But manager Neil Harris will know more than anyone just how difficult it will be to bring in the points on a regular basis, with the Championship getting tougher by the season.
And whatever happens before the season kicks off in August, Harris knows he’ll have to add to his squad before things get underway.
And there’s one man we think would be a cracking addition to the Den if a move can be manoeuvred and that’s the potential capture of former Leicester City hard-man Marcin Wasilewski.
The 60-time Poland international has been released by the Tigers following a four-year stint at the King Power Stadium and whilst he might now stand at 37-years-old, there’s thought the former Anderlecht man might have a couple more seasons in him at the top.
And we at the FLW think he’d make an excellent addition to Neil Harris’ Millwall squad, who need to add some bite to their team as they look to welcome some of the Championship top brass to London once again next season.
Wasilewski might not be the smoothest most competent football around but in at centre-back he’s an absolute machine, and particularly over the past couple of years when we saw him fill in for Huth or Morgan, he did a good job for the Foxes.
