The German revolution is well underway at Carrow Road following the appointment of Daniel Farke as manager, and he's already made his first signing with highly-rated Marley Watkins coming through the doors.

Norwich City are potentially going to follow in Huddersfield Town's footsteps and chase the automatic promotion spots, play-offs being the minimal requirement from the squad it would seem.

If that is the case, then Farke needs to give youngster Harry Toffolo a chance in defence if they want to make use of their successful youth academy, and avoid spending in the transfer market, which could be used for weaker areas on the pitch.

The 21-year-old left-back has made an impressive rise up the Norwich ranks in recent times after enjoying prosperous loan spells in League One, and it's now likely he'll be given a run in the club's first-team.

Toffolo made his Canaries debut in a 2-1 League Cup victory over Rotherham United in the 2015/16 campaign, however, prior to that he had made a handful of appearances during his temporary stay at Swindon Town.

He has since been on loan at Rotherham United, Peterborough and last season, Scunthorpe United, where he really flourished and showed his true potential.

Having earned rave reviews in the third-tier for the Irons in their promotion charge, which ended in Play-Off disarray, many Norwich City supporters would like to see Harry Toffolo given the chance in the Championship.

It is a gamble that Daniel Farke may very well thank himself for taking, as he may be their stand-out defender next year.
