Having marginally escaped relegation to the third-tier at the end of last season, Bristol City have a major task on their hands if they don't want the same to happen again next season.

The reasoning is that star forward Tammy Abraham has returned to his parent club Chelsea and the probability of him returning to Ashon Gate are slim following his impressive form over the last ten months.

I propose Lee Johnson dives into the transfer market and snatches £170k-rated attacker Billy Bodin from rivals Bristol Rovers, who play in the division below their fierce competitors.

Since the Gas' Matty Taylor opted to sign for the Robins on the final day of the winter transfer window, Bodin has been the man to rely on for their goals, however, it hasn't quite worked out for the player who moved across the city.

Taylor bagged on just one occasion in fifteen outings since his move and could potentially do with someone alongside him who would benefit, hence the suggestion of Billy Bodin.

The 25-year-old has predominately been utilised as a left-winger, scoring 15 goals in the league and it almost seemingly clicked between him and his former team-mate before they were separated.

It may be a punt, admittedly, but if they formed a good chemistry at Rovers then they should be able to replicate that at City, despite it being controversial for Bodin to follow Matty Taylor to Ashton Gate.

Bristol City supporters, would you be happy if Billy Bodin was a signing this summer? Is he good enough for the Championship? Let us hear your thoughts in the comments below!
