Derby County's Mason Bennett has apologised publicly after a video emerged of him shouting obscenities at Pride Park, which has drawn an interesting reaction from fans of their East Midlands rivals, Nottingham Forest.

The 23-year-old was one of the players involved in the drink driving incident that led to ex-captain Richard Keogh having his contract terminated back in November.

Bennett fell out of favour following that saga and was sent on loan to Millwall in January.

The Rams academy product has made 90 appearances for the club in but his Derby future looks in doubt after a video surfaced on social media that showed the forward shouting "f****** burn" as he drove past Pride Park.

The 23-year-old took to Twitter yesterday to issue a public apology and provide some explanation.

His apology has not been particularly well-received by Rams fans but, unsurprisingly, it has drawn a different response from supporters of Forest, their East Midlands rivals.

Has Lewis Grabban done these 12 things at Nottingham Forest? Have a go now!

The City Ground faithful seem to be enjoying the situation significantly more and many Reds fans took to Twitter to express their thoughts.
