Hull City travelled to Derby County last night, as the deadliest team in front of goal in the Championship this season.

The Tigers had found the net an impressive 12 times in only 5 games, and Leonard Slutsky’s team will have approached the fixture with the optimism of continuing their fine goalscoring form, against a Derby side who had already conceded 7 times this year.

However a ruthless first half display ensured the Rams were out of sight at the break, with the final score a mind-boggling 5-0 home win for Gary Rowett’s men.

Derby were deadly, concise and prolific, and Slutsky’s men could not handle the electric pace in which their hosts started the game.

Slutsky apologised to the travelling Hull supporters in his post-match interview, and must now pick his squad up for their trip to Fulham on Wednesday.

Hull fans have been on Twitter to vent their frustration, and it is safe to say the Humberside lot are not happy with their side’s performance…
