For a long time this season it looked like West Bromwich Albion and Leeds United would run away with the automatic promotion places.

But that has changed in recent weeks, thanks to Brentford.

The Bees have lost just twice in their last nine league games, winning their previous three, and moving to within six points of The Whites, who currently occupy second place.

Last weekend saw them comfortably dispatch local rivals QPR 3-1 in the last West London Derby to be played at Griffin Park, with their talented front three doing the necessary damage inside the first 45 minutes.

This weekend sees them travel to Huddersfield Town as they look to close the gap further on those automatic promotion places.

QUIZ: Can you name these 12 obscure Brentford players?

But what side is Thomas Frank likely to put out for the clash?

After a bit of tinkering in the opening months in midfield, the Dane seems to have settled on his preferred XI and after their brilliant display against the R's last weekend, it is hard to invisage any changes being made.

David Raya, who Frank dubbed as one of the best goalkeepers in the league recently, will continue between the sticks protected by the division's most effective defensive unit.

Rico Henry and Henrik Dalsgaard have provided both attacking impetus and intelligent defending at left and right-back respectively whilst Pontus Jansson and Ethan Pinnock look almost unbeatable in the middle.

The midfield trio of Josh Dasilva, Mathias Jensen and Christian Norgaard have probably not been given the credit they deserve for Brentford's recent performances, but their hard running, clever passing and positional inteligence has been pivotal.

And, of course, the front three remains untouched. Said Benrahma, Ollie Watkins and Bryan Mbeumo have simply been a joy to watch so far this season and will no doubt be pivotal on Saturday if they are to beat the Terriers.
