Leeds United moved to the top of the Championship table with a 4-0 win over relegation-threatened Middlesbrough at Elland Road.

It took Marcelo Bielsa's side just three minutes to open the scoring as Patrick Bamford scored his seventh goal of the season in all competitions.

A brace from Mateusz Klich and a first goal for Leeds from Helder Costa saw the Whites run out convincing winners on the day.

Bamford's performance in particular caught the eye, as he continued his good run of form in front of goal, which is likely to keep Eddie Nketiah out of the starting XI for the foreseeable future.

There had been some calls from some of the Leeds supporters for Bamford to be benched in favour of Nketiah, but the former Middlesbrough man has responded in the best way possible.

He'll be hoping he can continue his good run of form in front of goal heading into the festive period.

Plenty of the Elland Road faithful took to Twitter to praise Bamford for his latest showing.
