Leeds United currently sit in fifth spot in the Sky Bet Championship table, after a strong start to the season.

The Whites face off against Reading at Elland Road on Saturday, and Christiansen will want his side to get back to winning ways having lost three out of their last four league matches.

The Danish manager may have had one eye on the January transfer window over the last week or so, as international football took centre-stage.

Christiansen did not hold back in the summer transfer window, and he's likely to add to his squad in the next transfer window.

The writers here at Football League World have identified players that Leeds United should attempt to move for in January......

Alfie Burns

There is no doubt that it would be Aden Flint, who is in unbelievable form in the Championship for Bristol City at this current time.

Leeds and Flint were linked over the summer, and he would be the perfect partner for Pontus Jansson in Thomas Christiansen’s defence.

Excellent in defence and also a threat at the opposite end of the pitch, he would be an absolute dream signing for Leeds.

George Dagless

They need a powerhouse in midfield.

Leeds have started fairly well this season but when they have come up short the same criticisms have been levelled at them - they're too weak.

The Whites need someone who is going to break things up and stop other teams playing and someone like Mo Besic on loan.

The man from Everton could be ideal.

Adam Simeoni

Ings could work.

It might be a gamble to bring the player to Elland Road given his recent injury history, but if Christiansen can get him fit and firing again, he will be extremely dangerous in the second tier.

The only striker at Leeds who looks ready to compete at this level is Lasogga, so another face would not go amiss if Leeds are serious about promotion.

Chris Gallagher

Daniel Ayala.

The Boro man would be the perfect fit for Leeds.

The Yorkshire club are showing a soft side to their play when they visit certain grounds, with deserved defeats at Millwall, Cardiff and Wednesday this season.

Ayala would toughen them up and could provide a formidable partnership with Pontus Jansson. He’s only 26-years old and would jump at the chance to move given his lack of playing time this season.
