Birmingham City had one of their worst seasons in years last campaign as they narrowly avoided being relegated to League One.

This season, Garry Monk will be hoping to avoid any moments like that as he builds a squad that will be pushing up the table rather than falling down it.

A large part of the Blues' success will depend on the sort of transfer window they have, with changes definitely needing to be made.

There are those who should be guaranteed starters and those who should not be anywhere near the club.

But there are also those who can still have an impact at Birmingham City in the future and should just be loaned out for the campaign.

So who are they?

Cogley is somebody who would massively benefit from some time out on loan.

With the Blues needing instant results, giving him time to improve could cost them dearly.

There is no doubt that the 19-year-old has talent, but he needs to show it somewhere else first.

Soloman-Otabor is another exciting talent coming through the ranks at St. Andrews.

After spending last season on loan at Blackpool in League One, scoring five and assisting five, it is clear that he is a talented player.

But he could do with another season out on loan in the third tier to really bring him up to speed.
