It is always a battle of who has the biggest bankroll to buy whoever they want.

With big signings being registered by big teams, in the world of football, small teams just wait on the sidelines. Every transfer window for every season there has been a top bid for the best player. It is all in the hunt for who can impress and secure a great player at the right price. The richest clubs, such as Real Madrid, Manchester United, Manchester City, Chelsea, and PSG have the capability and the money to buy the right player. In the 2016/17 transfer window, they have made it to the list for the biggest signings and they include:

Neymar Jr

At only 25 years of age, the former Barcelona forward and Brazilian international has made the top list for the most expensive transfer. PSG has stepped up to the plate with the largest signing ever of £198 million for Neymar Jr from Barcelona. It is well over what most football managers such as Arsene Wenger would consider normal.

He says that it is an outrageous price tag for a single player.

However, he continues to mention that no such player should be bought at such a price by any football club.

Romelu Lukaku

The former Everton star was being poached by two big teams, Chelsea and Manchester United. However, with a transfer price of £75 million, he decided to settle for the latter. Lukaku has appeared several times in the Man United’s summer games and netted a few goals in the process.

It is true to say that Romelu Lukaku is settling in well with his current team, which is a good thing.

Alvaro Morata

He was not happy in his former club, Real Madrid. It is because of the fact that he was not a first choice since the club has many stars in place to take up that position. As such Morata wanted a place where he could be the first choice and maybe score more. It was Chelsea who took up that challenge for the former Madrid star. He was bought for a whopping £60 million to become the latest signing for the 2016/17 EPL Champions.

Benjamin Mendy

Manchester City felt the need to reinforce their defence by adding another great defender and thus went on to sign Mendy from Monaco for £52 million. It was a worthwhile price to pay for a great defender as Mendy has been impressive at his former club. Despite all that, he has a lot to prove himself as he is one of the most expensive defenders in the EPL.

Kyle Walker

Yet another great add-on to the defence, Man City looks to go to the next season with a foolproof defence. Kyle Walker made it to the big team from Tottenham with an initial transfer price of £45 million. Man City has set the bar high in terms of their defensive prowess in the next season thanks to the huge dual signings for defenders in this window.
