It's going to be a very interesting summer at Leeds United, with Marcelo Bielsa looking to build a squad that is capable of winning promotion next season.

However, unless a takeover from Qatar Sports Investment comes to fruition, which could potentially transform the club, then the reality is that a big sale may be needed to balance the books.

The Whites have several players who could make the step up but arguably the most attractive option to Premier League sides is talented winger Jack Clarke.

A report from the Independent revealed that several top-flight sides have shown an interest in the player, including Tottenham.

And, here at FLW we look at the price-tag that Leeds could put on the youngster.

Firstly, you have to say that despite Clarke's undoubted potential, you have to remember that he has only played 24 league games as a first-team player, with many of those as a substitute.

Therefore, even clubs who have endless riches, they will be very cautious before splashing out a relatively significant fee on the youngster.

Yet, Leeds know the going rate for very good Championship players is getting close to £20m now, so demanding £15m for Clarke would not be unreasonable in this climate.

That's because of the undoubted potential he has. He has shown flashes of brilliance in the past few months, with his ability to beat players and composure on the ball ensuring he stands out from the rest.

Although, it must be said that he hasn't done that consistently but at his age that is very understandable and it's a common theme among many youngsters.

Any buying club will also know that they are purchasing a player that is just 18-years-old so he has his best years in front of him and could potentially be a star for over the next decade.

Obviously, how good Clarke is going to be will depend on his development in the coming years and playing football regularly will be key to that.

So, if Leeds can secure a £15m deal that sees the academy graduate return on loan next season then it could be a win-win for all concerned.
