Unfortunately for Rotherham, their incredible progression over the past five years is looking to cut short as they are now falling behind in the Championship relegation battle.
They are now six points behind 21st placed MK Dons and even though there are plenty of games left in the season, Neil Warnock will have the toughest job of his career keeping the Millers up.
If the south Yorkshire side do get relegated this season they can be mightily proud of what they have achieved. If they do not get relegated, then it will count as another achievement in their recent successes.
In the club’s history players like Alan Lee, Paul Hurst, Tony Towner and Ronnie Moore amongst others have been standout legends at the club racking up 100s of appearances.
This is an important part of the club’s history with Championship football and successive promotions two years ago, and the players have played a huge part in this recent history.
Steve Evans made 88 signings in his 172 games with Rotherham and despite the number being on the excessive side; some of those will be viewed as legends in decades to come.
