Blackburn ensured they'll spend the international break in the top-half of the Championship table after beating QPR at Ewood Park on Saturday, mainly thanks to another fine display of finishing from Adam Armstrong.

Tony Mowbray's men had gone three league matches without victory, but scored three times in 50 second-half minutes to record their first home win since they thrashed Wycombe 5-0 back in September.

Having seen Lyndon Dykes' penalty cancel out Ben Brereton's 50th-minute opener, Armstrong then took matters into his own hands by netting twice in the final 18 minutes to secure three points from Rovers.

The 23-year-old has now scored 11 Championship goals for the campaign, including six in his previous four outings - moving ahead of former Newcastle United teammate Ivan Toney at the top of the goalscoring charts in the second-tier.

Remkarbly, Armstrong has actually scored more than nine teams in the division, and remains on course for his best goal-return of his short career.

Blackburn fans have been thrilled with the striker's form, with one even suggesting that he's the best player outside of the Premier League - and here we've looked at how the Ewood Park faithful reacted to Armstrong's performance against Rangers yesterday on social media.
