Sheffield United and Bradford City are both finally where many predicted they would be in League One - right up near the top of the table.

Bradford's recent smashing of Rochdale 4-0 has elevated them firmly into the top two and on the tails of leaders Scunthorpe.

Sheffield United meanwhile will take on Chesterfield tomorrow, looking to preserve and 11 game unbeaten run which has seen the Blades fly up the table.

Both sides have enough within the squad you would think to sustain this promotion challenge. Chris Wilder and Stuart McCall - once a Blade himself - are both fiery passionate managers and it is no surprise to see their respective clubs at the right end of League One.

With the form of both teams in mind, we wanted to take a look at the best combined XI.

Here, FLW Lee Connor gives his opinion on the matter...

GK - Simon Moore

Simon Moore

The Blades stopper has proved to be a shrewd buy by Chris Wilder, filling a void which many fans believed was a massive problem for the Blades last term.

Moore is assured, and much like Bradford stopper Doyle, has plenty of experience. However, Moore just pips it for me, with his overall contribution to the turnaround at Bramall Lane not to be underestimated.

RB - Stephen Darby

Darby has been and still is one of the most consistent performers in the league.

For Bantams defender is an assured presence at the back. His versatility also makes him a useful asset, and he gets in ahead of the Blades' Kieron Freeman.

CB - Ethan Ebanks-Landell

§Ebanks-Landell

Sheffield United signed a fair few defenders in the summer, but non have had the same impact as Wolves loan star Ebanks-Landell.

Jake Wright has been excellent, while Jack O'Connell shows promise, but Landell is a real handful at League One level and one the Blades should look to keep hold of permanently.

CB - Nathaniel Knight-Percival

The big defender would slot in nicely next to Ebanks-Landell, and he has been an ever present for McCall and Bradford this term.

Knight-Percival seems suited to League One football, and if Bradford do not go up, he might well find himself the subject of interest higher up the footballing ladder.

LB - Daniel Lafferty

lafferty

The on loan Burnley man has been another shrewd loan move by Chris Wilder, and he has come into his own of late for United.

Lafferty looks assured as a wing back for the Blades, but could easily slot in at left back and would do just nicely in this mixed eleven.

RM - Filipe Morais

The former Chelsea man has found life in League One very suitable, and he continues to be one of the standout players in the league.

Morais can on his day be one of the finest players in the league, and he causes defences all sort of problems when he is on his game.

CM - John Fleck

flecky

The summer signing from Coventry has been an excellent signing so far for United, and he looks to be one of the missing pieces the Blades have been missing.

Flecks is a battler, but has excellent on the ball skills. He is now one of the main men in the team for United, and he continues to shine.

CM - Nicky Law

law

Another with a link to Sheffield United, but in a Bantams shirt, Nicky Law is thriving under Stuart McCall.

The former Rangers man was brought in after somewhat of a surprise departure from Rangers, and looks every bit as good as he ever did for the Gers.

LM - Paul Coutts

Paul Coutts

He might not be left winger, but Coutts' form this season has warranted a place in this team.

A player who has often looked lost in a Blades shirt, he has found his form this term under Wilder and looks a class act.

Fwd - Billy Sharp

sharp00

The former Leeds, Forest, and Southampton man is right at home now at Bramall Lane, and is thriving under the captaincy of the club.

Sharp is well on his way to surpassing last seasons goal tally, and looks to be the driving force behind the Blades and their promotion push.

Fwd - Jordy Hiwula

Jordy Hiwulamkddd

Although Billy Clarke is a top player, Hiwula has also been excellent and just gets the nod.

He has 5 goals this season, but his overall impact on the team has been immense, and paired with someone like Sharp he would cause defences all sorts of problems given the chance.
