It has been a profitable season so far for Yorkshire rivals Sheffield Wednesday and Hull City.
The Owls have improved massively under Carlos Carvalhal, and have gone from mid-table no-hopers to genuine play-off contenders.
Meanwhile, Steve Bruce’s Tigers sit one point clear of Middlesbrough – albeit having played a game more than the Teesiders – as they look to bounce straight back to the Premier League after relegation on the final day of the season.
Both clubs have the talent and ability to attain promotion to the Premier League, but with the likes of Burnley, Derby and Brighton hot on their heels, it’s going to be a close run-in.
With both clubs boasting stars of the second tier and much-improved players, here is, in the opinion of Football League World writer Tom Nightingale, is the best combined starting XI from the two sides…….
