Hull and Burnley are two serious contenders for Championship promotion, and will both be fighting it out to ensure that they will be playing Premier League football, once again next season.
Both sides did everything in their power last season to ensure that they remained a Premier League side, but relegation was officially confirmed for both sides in the final moments of the season.
Hull ended their two-year stay in the league after enabling to break down Manchester United in a stalemate 0-0, that sealed their fate on the final day of the season.
Despite a 1-0 win over West Brom three games before the end of the season, Burnley were relegated from the top-flight.
Newcastle’s point at home to West Brom, and Leicester’s victory over Southampton, was enough to condemn them back to the Championship.
Despite their disappointment from the previous season, they have both proved that they are worthy of a place back in the Premier League as they sit inside the top three in the Championship.
It is extremely tight in the top end of the table, with Hull currently occupying top spot – just four points adrift of third placed Burnley.
There are plenty of players in both squads that have proved worthy of their league positions.
