GK – Tom Heaton – Burnley
The Clarets shot-stopper is a top class goal keeper and should not be playing in the Championship.
Heaton saved them a few points and is continuing his fine displays this season, which has impressed England manager, Roy Hodgson, after he was named in England’s fourth successive squad to face Spain and France next week.
The 29-year-old should definitely be a Premier League player.
LB – Ben Mee – Burnley
Burnley’s consistency at the back has been key to Burnley’s success this season.
Mee has been among a defensive unit that has remained unchanged in 15 Championship outings.
The left-back has been solid this season and rarely makes a mistake, and is a pretty easy selection for this combined Foresta nd Burnley XI.
CB – Michael Keane – Burnley
Another player who should not be playing in the Championship.
Burnley signed the youngster from Manchester United when they were promoted to the Premier League to tighten up the defence.
The 22 year old has impressed many Premier League sides this season and has been linked with Swansea City and Everton.
CB – Matt Mills – Nottingham Forest
Despite Nottingham Forest’s poor position in the Championship, Mills has always seemed to be a consistent performer at the heart of the defence.
Mills is a solid centre-back who leads his back line extremely well, and he has been a great player in the Football League down the years.
Mills' experience playing for the likes of Reading, Leicester City and Bolton Wanderers make him a key part of this combined XI.
RB – Eric Lichaj – Nottingham Forest
The ex-Aston Villa full back was Forest’s best player through October, and the defender was named the club’s player of the month.
Lichaj has chipped in with several goals also so he would make a perfect right-back for this combined XI.
His experience of playing in the top-flight also makes him an excellent candidate for the right-back role in this team.
RW – George Boyd – Burnley
If Michail Antonio was still at Forest, he would definitely be in this squad, but Burnley midfielder George Boyd is technically very good.
He always lifts the Clarets fans off their feet when he makes a darting run, and he was one of their best players while in the Premier League last year, scoring some very important goals.
Boyd is continuing to impress this year at Turf Moor, and he really deserves to be plying his trade week in week out in the Premier League.
CM – David Jones – Burnley
Jones has been a key figure in the Clarets' midfield this season.
The midfielder recently hailed Burnley’s spirit and mentality, and feels that is reflected on manager Dyche.
The 31-year-old is in great form and has four assists to his name this season - and is also another player with a plethora of experience, that can often be very influential.
CM – Henri Lansbury – Nottingham Forest
Henri Lansbury simply has to be in this combined Nottingham Forest and Burnley XI, as he is one of Dougie Freedman's most important players.
The former Arsenal midfielder has an abundance of talent, and his ability to create chances out of nothing make him an essential part of the XI.
LW – Matty Taylor – Burnley
The winger has scored four goals for the Clarets this season, and doesn't look like stopping there anytime soon.
The ex-West Ham United player has a great left foot on him and is excellent at set pieces, and would provide that added element of quality in midfield.
Burnley have a great squad this season and Taylor will no doubt be be an extremely important player for Burnley this season.
ST – Andre Gray – Burnley
Gray has settled into Burnley very well since his club record move from Brentford in the summer.
Gray has 10 goals so far this term, including eight for Burnley, and he looks like continuing this run of form throughout the season.
The former Bees striker is easily one of the most deadly strikers in the Football League as a whole, and he should undoubtedly be a Premier League striker very soon.
ST - Britt Assombalonga – Nottingham Forest
Nottingham Forest have seriously missed the potency and firepower of Britt Assombalonga this season, with the striker currently enduring a lengthy spell on the sidelines due to injury.
The 22-year-old is one of the most clinical strikers in the Championship on his day, and it will be huge for Forest when he returns to first-team action.
A striker partnership of Assombalonga and Gray is what dreams are made of.
