Brighton and Hove Albion have established themselves as a force in the Championship since their promotion in 2011.
Their four-season stay in the second tier has seen them compete in the play-offs on two occasions, but they fell at the penultimate hurdle both times, with heartbreak in the semi-finals at the hands of Derby County and bitter rivals Crystal Palace.
Albion’s most recent campaign was a bit of an anomaly based on their good record, with a 20th placed finish the result of a poor season that provoked a mid-season change of management.
However, this time out normal service seems to have resumed, with the Sussex outfit on course to, at the very least, participate in the annual end-of-season lottery once again.
