Steve Bruce will have a huge job on his hand as he looks to build an Aston Villa squad that can challenge for the top six despite their financial troubles.

The West Midlands club have major issues, with several key players set to depart, such as Jack Grealish, Jonathan Kodjia and James Chester among others.

That should ease any immediate concerns for the club but Bruce will be tasked with bringing in replacements for those that leave and that will be tough.

However, one man who could be available and open to a move is Brentford's Alan Judge.

The Ireland international has suffered terribly with injuries over the years but got himself fit towards the end of the season and voiced his frustration at not getting back in the team.

Whilst the Bees clearly rate the player, he is by no means a guaranteed starter next season and would surely relish the chance to play for a club the size of Villa.

As our graphic shows, even as a substitute he was still making an impact after returning from his injury and that would encourage any potential buyers.

His key passes per game, shots and pass success prove that he was still heavily involved when on the pitch and contributing.

Even if he doesn't get back to his best, Judge could be a very effective player in the Championship and could thrive at Villa and become a major creative force for a new-look side under Bruce.
