There is finally some clarity on who will be leading Leeds next season as Thomas Christiansen was appointed manager of the club this week.

The Yorkshire outfit were forced into searching for a new boss after manager Garry Monk departed the club last month, asking them not to extend his contract by year and leaving him free to join fellow second tier outfit Middlesbrough.

And, after a lengthy search, Christiansen, who most recently managed APOEL, was brought in as his replacement, and is tasked with taking the club back to the Premier League for the first time since 2004.

He faces a tough battle this summer to keep hold of the club's big names, notably Chris Wood, but he will also make a conscious effort to bring in players to advance Leeds' current position.

One player who would be an extremely shrewd move for the club is Lee Chung-Yong of Crystal Palace, who is likely to be part of a sizeable Palace clear out this summer.

The South Korean international moved to Palace on deadline day January 2015 and has struggled for first team football ever since, making just 30 appearances for the Eagles.

The £1.28 million-rated winger (as per Transfermarkt) was a top Championship player during his time in the second tier with Bolton Wanderers, making 176 appearances for the club before his move away.

The 28-year-old is not your conventional winger and can play across the attack from left, to right, to number 10 and is more of a playmaker than a winger with blistering pace who runs at defenders.

He therefore offers something different to the likes of Hadi Sacko, Kemar Roofe and Stuart Dallas out wide, and would complement their attack extremely nicely going into the new Championship season.
