Aston Villa have slowly begun to pick up form in the Championship and they have one player to thank for their much-improved form under manager Steve Bruce.

The player in question? £8.5million-rated striker Jonathan Kodjia, whose eight goals in his last eight games have been a godsend as Villa have climbed the table and really begun to pick up points as they should have at the start of the campaign.

It was a tricky start for Villa under Roberto Di Matteo, who was quickly dismissed after a poor run of form and confusing investment.

But one man he did bring to the club was Kodjia, who has really started to shine under Steve Bruce, who is getting the best out of the former Bristol City man.

But it's been his goals that have really started to give rise to Villa's much-improved form, with his strike giving his team all three points in the 1-0 win over QPR in the week.

But with the summer now fast-approaching, it seems that Villa might be getting into a slight predicament.

They've got one of the hottest pieces of property on their hands in the whole division and while Kodjia's talent is clear for all to see, it slowly means that other sides will begin tracking his progress.

Kodjia is a hefty unit who can score goals from all over the pitch.

His value has definitely gone up since he made the move to the club but moving forward, Villa will certainly have to guard against teams trying to sign their forward over the summer months.

But sadly for Steve Bruce and Villa, Kodjia has proved himself to be a player that might be good enough to play at a higher division and he certainly won't be waiting around if that chance arises this summer.

The solution to this problem for Villa? Get back to the Premier League as soon as possible.
