Leyton Orient have had an incident-strewn season so far on their return to League Two following promotion from the National League last year.

Ross Embleton started the season in charge but he was removed after just two months due to a tough start to the season.

Embleton's replacement Carl Fletcher last just five games though and Embleton returned on an interim basis, with his reappointment being made permanent in January this year.

With just four defeats since the start of 2020, Orient have made steady progress and have now established a 10-point gap to the relegation zone with 10 matches to play.

With 47 goals scored from 36 games they have been fairly incisive in front of goal, although their defensive record is one of the worst in the division.

Nonetheless, they are 17th in the table and will be targeting a mid-table finish from the end of this season.

Here, we look at the five Leyton Orient players that have been fouled the most times per match on average.

The defender has been a regular this season and provides a dominant aerial presence from the centre-back position.

Dayton has been used sporadically so far this term, with just eight starts in the Orient midfield.

The forward has not been prolific in front of goal with just five goals, but his four assists show the impact he can have in other areas of his game.

Present in all but one matches so far this season, Clay has been at the heartbeat of Orient's midfield.

A versatile player, Brophy has started at left-back, wing-back and on the left side of the midfield.

With four goals and two assists Angol has not had the impact he would have hope but remains a regular option from the start or off the bench.

The 19-year-old is an exciting prospect and has impressed with five goals from just seven starts.
