Wycombe Wanderers have defied all expectations this season and find themselves fighting for promotion from League One.

Gareth Ainsworth's side have been one of the standout stories in the third tier this campaign, and the Chairboys boss will be hoping that their form doesn't dip as the run-in edges closer.

Saying that, here are the SEVEN best passers at Wycombe according to WhoScored (minimum five appearances)...

In seventh place is central midfielder Dominic Gape. The 25-year-old has made a total of 31 appearances this season for the Chairboys.

He has been at the club since 2017, and has gone on to feature over 130 times for the club in just short of five seasons.

Next on the list is Rolando Aarons, who spent the first half of the campaign at Adams Park on loan from Newcastle United.

Now at Motherwell, the attacker made a total of thirteen appearances for Gareth Ainsworth's side during his short spell in Buckinghamshire.

Coming in at number five is Nnamdi Ofoborh, who is currently on a season-long loan from AFC Bournemouth.

The 20-year-old has made seven league starts this term for the Chairboys, with a majority of his appearances coming from the bench.

In fourth place is Welsh forward Alex Samuel, who by all accounts has done a reasonable job when he's played upfront this term, but can still improve.

However, he will be looking to add more goals to his game, as well as secure a regular starting spot.

We now get into the top three, and next is Nick Freeman, who has made a total of 30 appearances for the club this season in all competitions.

In second place is Josh Parker, who joined the club in the summer on a free transfer after his release from Charlton Athletic.

However, the 29-year-old has gone on to make just three starts for the club in League One.

In first place is Fred Onyedinma, who has been one of Wycombe's star performers this season.

The 23-year-old rejoined Wycombe on a permament deal last summer from Millwall, and it has proven to be a shrewd piece of business.

The forward has scored four goals this term, also winning Man of the Match twice.
