After agonisingly losing out on a place in the Championship last term, it really is a case of dust yourselves down and go again for Bradford City in 2017/18.

The Yorkshire club were defeated 1-0 by Millwall at Wembley thanks to a late strike by Steve Morison, however this hasn't stopped Bantams boss Stuart McCall in preparing his squad for yet another promotion push next term.

The shrewd acquisitions of Adam Chicksen, Dominic Poleon, Paul Taylor, and Shay McCartan have already come through the doors at Valley Parade, however there is still work to be done if City are to compete for promotion again next season.

One player who McCall must look to bring to Valley Parade this summer is Peterborough United winger Marcus Maddison, who is valued at a price of £638k on Transfermarkt.com.

When Peterborough transfer listed Maddison at the end of the 2016/17 campaign, it came as a shock to many, especially when you consider the fact that the playmaker netted 27 times in 109 appearances for the Posh from midfield.

The 23-year old netted 9 times for Grant McCann’s men last term, as well as producing a staggering 17 assists in what was yet another underachieving season for the League One club.

Known for his set plays and crossing abilities, Maddison would be a perfect asset for the Bantams, and would provide adequate service to Charlie Wyke who is known to be a predator pouncing onto deliveries inside the box.

Maddison is likely to have many potential suitors this summer, however the size of Bradford City and the ambition that they are already displaying this term would definitely be enough to lure Marcus Maddison to Valley Parade in the summer.

So...what do you think Bradford fans? Would Maddison be a good signing for the Bantams? Leave your thoughts in the comments below!
