It's been a poor season for both Nottingham Forest and Birmingham City in the Championship, with both clubs underperforming at the bottom of the table.

For the Blues, they've not recovered from the horrendous form they endured under the hapless Gianfranco Zola whilst Mark Warburton hasn't had enough time to work his magic at the City Ground.

But there's one man who currently resides at St Andrews that we think might make an excellent signing for Forest over the summer, having played there already in the past.

The man in question? £600,000-rated midfielder Robert Tesche, who has become the slight victim of managerial change over the past few months.

He featured regularly under Rowett before suffering an injury but having returned to the first-team, he's struggled for first-team minutes. And with more managerial change expected over the coming months, he's a man that might be moved on in a summer overhaul, depending on the new manager's plans.

And he's done well at Forest in the past so there's little reason why he couldn't return to lead Forest back to their better days. He's an excellent ball-playing midfielder who is calm on the ball. He might not be as combative or strong as some in the division but when it comes to a calm and composed option in the middle-of-the-park, he's a seriously good option that isn't too expensive either.

Forest fans- would you welcome Tesche back this summer? Leave your thoughts in the comments below!
