Huddersfield Town have made great strides of improvement under Danny Cowley, though their task of avoiding relegation to League One is not over just yet.

The Terriers looked to be a sinking ship under Jan Siewert, but former Lincoln boss Cowley has made a positive impact since arriving at the John Smith's Stadium.

Ahead of the final nine games of the season, whenever they may be played, Huddersfield sit 18th in the Championship table and only three points clear of safety.

Have Huddersfield done these 15 things in the last 10 years?

The additions of the likes of Richard Stearman and Andy King have certainly helped Town - two experienced professionals who have been there and done it have added a lot to the changing room.

Stearman and King are two ageing players, but are they anywhere near the oldest to have ever played for Town?

Here, we take a look...

Scottish defender Martin McIntosh made over 50 appearances for Town between 2005 and 2007.

He played for Huddersfield when he was aged 36 and one month old.

Experienced midfielder Whitehead spent three years at the John Smith's Stadium before hanging up his boots.

He played at the age of 36 years, three months old in his last appearance for the club, in a 1-0 defeat to Arsenal.

The centre-half played 42 times for Town, initially on loan, joining from Burnley in 2007.

The defender made his last appearance for Town in a defeat to Oldham, at the age of 36 years, three months and 26 days old.

Lucketti played for Huddersfield over 70 times between 1999 and 2001, and he later returned in 2008 to finish his career off.

At the age of 37 years, five months and 21 days old he featured for the club for the very last time, in a 2-2 draw with Cheltenham.

Coming in at second is Nick Colgan, with the Irish goalkeeper joining in 2011.

In a 4-1 defeat to Swindon Town, he played at the age of 38 years and one month old.

And, at number one, is former Town number one Ian Bennett.

Bennett made over 58 appearances for Huddersfield between 2010 and 2014, and his last appearance came against Leicester when he was 41 years old.
