Cardiff City are back in training as they look to seal a play-off place in the Sky Bet Championship under Neil Harris.

The intention is to get the season completed in full and Bluebirds fans will hope that that sees them get back into the top six.

Whether it does not, though, remains to be seen and whilst we wait for some answers, we've been taking a look at some of the oldest players to play for the club in their history.

Starting with sixth place, here are the top six...

Heidar Helguson was 35 years, 7 months and 22 days old when he featured for Cardiff last.

It was a 3-0 win over Nottingham Forest towards the end of the 2012/13 season - one which they earned promotion in, of course.

Brian Harris featured against Real Madrid but was on the losing side when he registered in at 35 years, 10 months and 8 days old.

Madrid won that particular game 2-0, but it's a tie that lives long in the memory for Bluebirds fans.

Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink played for the likes of Chelsea, Leeds United and Middlesbrough in the Premier League, whilst his career was coming to an end when he turned out for Cardiff.

He played in the FA Cup final against Portsmouth at the age of 36 years, 1 month and 20 days.

Robbie James featured for the Bluebirds in 1993 when they played Belgian side Standard Liege.

The Welsh side lost this particular game 3-1 and James was 36 years, 6 months and 5 days old.

Andy Legg last featured at the end of the 2002/03 season for the Bluebirds in a 1-1 draw with Crewe Alexandra.

He was 36 years, 9 months and 5 days old when he made that final outing for the club.

Kevin Campbell was a top level striker for much of his career, playing for the likes of Arsenal and Everton.

His last game for Cardiff came towards the end of his career, though, with him featuring in a 1-0 defeat to West Brom.

He was just 16 days past his 37th birthday when he made the run out in February 2007.
