There are changing times ahead for Birmingham City, who will be under the full leadership of Harry Redknapp next season.

The former QPR gaffer came in and saved the club from what looked like certain relegation in just three games and he's been rewarded with a one-year deal for his troubles.

But moving forward, there's plenty of positives to take into the new campaign and there are some superb players already on the books at St Andrews.

And one man we think needs to be offered a new deal at the club over the summer is David Davis, who is rated at £550,000.

The former Wolves man has become a real fan favourite down at St Andrews over the past couple of years, and that certainly showed in his ability to landslide the player awards yet again this season.

But obviously there has to be that mutual feeling between Davis and Harry Redknapp, who will be assessing the whole squad in the coming weeks and days.

There's no doubt in the slightest that Blues fans would be absolutely gutted to see Davis leave if he isn't offered a new deal, after his superb performances this season and in particular, those in the past few weeks.

Selling Davis to a rival would arguably be the worst course of action the club could take on his future.

He's a player that could slot into most teams at this level and do a job, and if there's one good reason not to sell him, it's that he would certainly go on and help another team in this division.

Trust us Harry - offer Davis a new deal and you certainly won't be disappointed in the slightest.
