Sheffield Wednesday
The 5 most underrated Sheffield Wednesday players – Do you agree?
Sheffield Wednesday have been flying under boss Carlos Carvahal this season, sitting ninth in the Sky Bet Championship.
Despite a 3-1 defeat at Charlton Athletic yesterday, they embarked on a 10 game unbeaten run in the league, and picked up an emphatic 3-0 Capital One Cup win over Arsenal as well.
New players have been crucial to the success of Wednesday this season, with new additions Fernando Forestieri and Ross Wallace both winning Player of the Month awards this season.
Lucas Joao and Marco Matias have also made big impressions since they joined, and Daniel Pudil as made a flying start to his career at Hillsborough.
But the old players have been essential too, with goalkeeper Keiren Westwood being consistently solid between the sticks, and the centre back pairing of Tom Lees and Glenn Loovens have also been solid as ever.
Jose Semedo and Keiran Lee have been fairly consistent in the middle of the park as the old and new boys start to gel.
With Wednesday fans and manager Carvahal hoping for a promotion challenge, FootballLeagueWorld writer Michael Hasan takes a look at five players who maybe haven’t got the praise they deserve for Wednesday’s good start.
