Reading are famed for having one of the best youth academies in the whole of England, and their latest class of stars include a variety of England youth internationals and future stars of the global game.

The Reading academy has previously produced countless stars who have progressed through the ranks to feature heavily for the Royals, and for other bigger teams.

Jem Karacan, currently of Galatasaray was a product of the academy, as were Alex McCarthy and Alex Pearce.

The current youth team have many members out on loan, such as Craig Tanner, who is making waves out on loan at Plymouth, but here a FIVE youngsters currently coming through the ranks, who could be the next big thing to come out of the Berkshire club...

Aaron Kuhl

Best known by fans outside the club for having David Luiz-esque hair, the roaming playmaker has been looked at by a variety of clubs, including the likes of Manchester City.

The youngster' ability to pick out a pinpoint pass, and also track back and hold together the back line has earned him high regard amongst the Reading faithful.

The midfielder is currently impressing on loan at Dundee United, and it would be no surprise to see the starlet playing regular football in the Championship very soon.

Jake Cooper

The commanding centre back towers over most of his under-21's opponents, and Cooper puts his height advantage to excellent use.

In one of his first first-team performances last season, he secured a win over Norwich City with two towering headers.

Cooper impressed against Everton this season in the Capital One Cup, helping keep Romelu Lukaku very quiet -  it wouldn't be surprising if we hear more of this lad over the next few years.

Dominic Samuel

The young striker has the perfect combination of pace and power up top, and has repeatedly caused problems for defences in his many appearances for the youth side.

A call up to the senior squad looked inevitable until his season ended before it had even started when he picked up a serious injury.

The young forward is no plying his trade on loan at Sky Bet League One outfit Gillingham, and is excelling already under the stewardship of Justin Edinburgh.

Aaron Tshibola

The combative central midfielder made his breakthrough into the first-team this season under Steve Clarke, and has repeatedly been praised on his ability to play with a confidence, that would lead you to believe he has years of experience under his belt.

Has been ruled out with an ankle injury until Christmas, but has provided some much needed competition for Danny Williams in holding midfield.

Tshibola will undoubtedly be a regular fixture in the Reading team for years to come.

Jordan Obita

Was voted as the 2013/14 fans' player of the season, and has had the left-back position nailed down ever since.

Quick going forward, eager to get back, and is equipped with an excellent awareness on the pitch, Obita has earned attention from elsewhere, and a move to the Premier League is looming.

The full-back has all the credentials to become a Premier League footballer, and already looks a cut above the rest in the Championship.
