Swansea City have seen their play-off hopes suffer a significant blow in recent weeks following a five-game winless run which has seen them drop to 11th in the Championship table.

It has been a mixed campaign for Steve Cooper's side which saw them reach the second-tier summit by the end of August, but results have been much more inconsistent since then to see the Welsh club drop closer to mid-table.

However, there is a selection of Swansea players who have constantly impressed this season, and we are now taking a look at the identities of the Swans' best performers according to their individual player rating on WhoScored.com.

Most of these will come as no surprise, but there are also one or two interesting inclusions. Take a look...

Van der Hoorn has only featured in one of Swansea's last 10 league outings as a result of an injury problem he has been battling, but the centre-back was always a reliable presence at the heart of defence prior to this.

The Dutchman's strong defensive displays have earned him a rating of 6.82 which is enough to make him the Swans' fifth-best performer this season according to the statistics.

Rodon has only made 17 Championship appearances this term as a result of an ankle injury which kept him out for around three months, but his recent displays on his return to the side have proven why he ranks so highly on this list.

The 22-year-old always looks comfortable both defensively and in possession of the ball, with his mature displays earning him a 6.85 rating.

A player must have made at least five appearances to feature on this list, and Brewster's seven outings since his January arrival means he qualifies for a spot.

The Liverpool loanee has looked bright since his arrival at the Liberty Stadium, with his three Championship goals helping him towards a highly respectable 6.90 rating.

This one may come as a surprise to some Swansea fans given Grimes has received occasional criticism for his performances this term, but the club captain has performed well enough to register a strong 7.14 rating under Cooper.

The fact Grimes has played every minute of league action will have certainly helped his cause, while his strong 82.9% passing accuracy is also an impressive statistic.

It will not be a surprise for Swansea fans to learn that Ayew has been the club's best performer so far this season, with the attacker having excelled since returning from his loan spell at Fenerbahce over the summer.

The 30-year-old has been a constant menace on Swansea's right flank and his 10 Championship goals have helped earn him a 7.32 rating.
